We will be a part a multi-institution research team geared towards the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Bioelectronics for Tissue Regeneration (BETR) project for healing large volumetric muscle loss in combat wounds. Our solution, Regenerative Electronics Platform through Advanced Intelligent Regulation (REPAIR) patch, will combine artificial intelligence, bioelectronics, and regenerative medicine to regrow muscle tissue to full functionality in half the required time. Daniel San Roman won third place in the Medical Devices category for his poster titled “Functionalized Out-of-Plane Graphene Microelectrode Arrays for Sensitive Biomolecule Sensing.” Way to go guys!
